eemn prayers & praises
Praises:
Our Russia, Latvia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Estonia Mission trips went successfully over the past 2 months! Praise God for safety and new seeds of the Gospel planted in the hundreds of children who attended the English Bible Camps. Pray that the Lord would continue to change their hearts in the coming months and years, as we know His Word does not return void!
"Operation Recession Proof" went well in 2009, and we now have 308 pledges of $10 monthly donations going into August 2010. In this new year, we hope to make our way to our goal of 500! Please continue to pray for this, and consider how you can be a part of this exciting opportunity.
Prayers:
Pray for EEMN missionaries in Latvia Rev. Martins & Gunta Irbes. They are organizing an International Family Forum at the Riga City Hall in support of the Natural Family. Although it is a secular venue, there will be a spiritual battle as well. Please pray for strength and protection for all organizers. Pray that no opposing forces (spiritual or physical) would be able to detract for the plans God has for the conference. Read the "Festival of Hope" prayer bulletin.
Pray for EEMN Regional Coordinator Bob Nordvalls wife, who recently had a serious stroke. Pray for a complete healing and recovery.
Pray for the ministry of Alexander Gross, EEMN ministry partner in Odessa, Ukraine. Pray specifically for the 10 camps he will be coordinating over the next 4 months, in concert with local Ukrainians, as well as volunteers from the US, Slovakia, Norway, Russia, Germany, and Poland. These camps will have more than 600 total participants. Praise God for the opportunity!
The Hinrichs recently returned to the US as they handed off the Bible school to a local Polish leader. Pray for their readjustment to American life. Pray also that the Bible School would continue to grow and thrive under new leadership.
Pray for the financial troubles that are troubling the globe, particularly in reference to the ministries and missionaries we work with in countries such as Latvia, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Belarus. These tough times have reminded us that the Lord is in control, and we must learn to trust Him at all times. We know he is the author and perfector of our faith, and we can cast all our cares upon Him.
Please pray for the ministry of the Christian Center, operated by EEMN missionaries Eric and Liza Debalek, which since its' inception has operated in Lyceum #1, the premier public school in Petrozavodsk, Russia.
Pray that God would raise the funds needed for our ministry associates in Belarus in the BLMF, at John the Baptist Parish. They recently procured the funds and purchased a building where they will eventually have their headquarters. Now they are raising funds to renovate the building in order for this to become a reality. If you would like to contribute toward this, please contact john@eemn.org.
