Pastor Bill Moberly came to East European Missions Network and became Director in early 2004. He previously served as Pastor of United Lutheran Church (AALC) in Manteca, CA. Since ordination in 1981, he also served congregations in Arlington Heights, IL, Bloomington, MN, and Fergus Falls, MN, and was an associate professor at the Bible Institute of Hawaii.

Prior to joining the staff at EEMN, Pastor Moberly has had a variety of world mission experiences. He served as the Midwest Regional Coordinator for the Association of International Mission Services (AIMS) in Virginia Beach, VA during the early days following the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. Through AIMS he personally assisted in the planting of about 50 new churches in the former Soviet Union. In this capacity he also traveled to congregations across the Soviet Untion, assisting these churches in broadening their world mission vision and programs. He has traveled extensively overseas since 1990, in addition to traveling throughout Eastern Europe. Since leaving AIMS in 1994, he has continued to provide assistance to congregations in the area of world missions, and has made major mission trips to the CIS in 1996 and 1999. He studied at Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1976 with a BA in history. He earned his M. Div from Luther-Northwestern Theological Seminary in 1981.

As Director, he travels twice annually to Eastern Europe and travels across the US sharing about the ministry of EEMN. His passion is challenging and equipping churches for strategic involvement in the Great Commission.

Pastor Bill and his wife Sally grew up in Bloomington, MN and have been married over 39 years. They have seven children, eleven grandchildren, and  their two teenage daughters still live at home.
